Africa-Press – Botswana. President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi paid homage to Ms Mogatsatshekedi Keitire of Goo-Sekokotla Ward in Kanye.
He said Ms Keitire, who is the mother to Attorney General Ms Mmako Abram, had lived a life worth celebrating with her impact having been felt beyond her household.
Dr Masisi said him visiting the Keitire family was born out of Batswana’s long standing tradition of sticking together in times of grief.
A family representative Ms Kegaisamang Magosi said the deceased succumbed to a short illness on April 9 and will be buried this coming April 20.
Another family representative Mr Ernest Itiseng thanked President Masisi for the words of comfort that he shared with the grieving family, saying they would go a long way in helping them come to terms with Ms Keitire’s passing.
