Africa-Press – Botswana. President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi participating in a virtual extraordinary SADC Summit of Heads of State and Government at the Office of the President.
The summit deliberated on the impact of climate change on the region, particularly the El Nino induced drought, disasters and their impact on the region’s economy, health, water and energy.
Speaking at the summit, SADC Executive Secretary Mr Elias Magosi, said there was an urgent need for a collective action plan to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by the El Nino-induced drought in the region.
