Africa-Press – Botswana. Construction of the A10 road from Sengaparile Junction to Mogoditshane is planned to commence next month (September), as part of the Mogoditshane-Gabane-Mmankgodi road construction under the development manager concept.

This was revealed by Minister of Transport and Public Works, Honourable Eric Molale when responding to a question in Parliament on Tuesday.

Hon. Molale said the ministry was aware of the deterioration of the A10 road hence the decision to construct and upgrade the road from a single carriageway to a dual carriageway of the 27km Mogoditshane-Gabane-Mmankgodi.

“However, since I currently do not have statistics of accidents and the cause of such accidents I cannot confirm whether accidents am due to condition of the road,” he said.

Thamaga-Kumakwane MP, Mr Palelo Motaosane had asked the minister to state when construction of the A10 road from Sengaparile Junction to Mogoditshane will commence. Mr Motaosane also asked the minister if he was aware of the deterioration of the road and state the number of accidents that had occurred as a result of its bad state.
