Africa-Press – Botswana. The Mthimkhulu family spokesperson, Ms Rosina Mochibidu has confirmed the passing on of her brother, Minister of Environment and Tourism Honourable Dumezweni Mthimkhulu.
Ms Mochibidu said he passed on Monday after a long illness.
Minister Mthimkhulu, 46, joined Parliament in 2019 after winning Gaborone South Constituency under the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) banner.
He previously served as Assistant Minster for State President.
Mr Mthimkhulu, a lawyer by profession, dies after having won the BDP primary elections that were held in July and was to contest this year’s general elections to be held October 30.
He is survived by wife, children and six siblings.
