She made these remarks during the Heads of State Summit of the Namibia–Botswana Bi-National Commission (BNC), held in Windhoek.

The signed MoUs include cooperation in the fields of corrections and prisons; energy resources; police services; employment and labour; health; culture; science, technology and innovation; as well as the gainful employment of spouses and dependants of diplomatic and consular staff.

“These instruments will strengthen our bilateral relations, improve regional integration, and facilitate the implementation of our flagship initiatives, including the Southern African Development Community’s Regional Indicative Strategic Development Plan, and the African Continental Free Trade Area. I am equally encouraged by our discussions on natural resource beneficiation and the need to safeguard the competitiveness of our diamond sectors. This reflects our commitment to ensure that our natural resources remain on the continent for the benefit of our people,” President Nandi-Ndaitwah added.
