Africa-Press – Botswana. After four months of engaging communities across Botswana, the Masheleng 2025 Financial Literacy National Tour is set to conclude with a grand finale on Saturday, 18 October 2025. The event will run from 8:30 AM until lunch at Oasis Motel in Gaborone and is expected to attract the largest audience of the tour.
The tour, which began in June in Maun, has travelled to major towns across Botswana, sparking critical conversations on money management, financial confidence, and practical personal finance skills. Each stop attracted strong community participation, demonstrating the high demand for simple, relatable tools that help individuals navigate their financial challenges.
The Gaborone finale will serve as the flagship event of the tour. Attendees can expect sessions led by financial experts, practical workshops, and opportunities for community engagement. The programme will also provide a platform for local entrepreneurs through stalls that showcase their products and services.
Founder and financial literacy expert Seatla Ratshosa highlighted the relevance of the tour, stating: “Botswana is at a crossroads. Rising living costs, limited job opportunities, and the pressure of financial responsibilities are leaving many families stretched thin. Yet, in every challenge lies opportunity. My journey with Masheleng has shown me that with the right knowledge and tools, people can turn financial struggles into strategies for growth. This tour is not just about teaching money skills, it’s about equipping Batswana to thrive in today’s economy and build wealth that lasts for generations.”
Tour coordinator and campaign strategist Gauta Eyman emphasized the initiative’s focus on access and inclusion. “To ensure no one is left behind, we have sponsored 40 tickets for deserving youth across Botswana in honour of Seatla Ratshosa’s birthday this year. The finale will not only be about learning but also about creating opportunities, which is why stalls will be available to support local entrepreneurs,” Eyman said.
The Masheleng 2025 National Tour has made a significant impact on financial literacy in Botswana. By combining practical knowledge, community engagement, and entrepreneurial support, the programme continues to empower citizens to take control of their finances, make informed decisions, and build sustainable wealth for the future.
The Gaborone finale promises to be an inspiring conclusion, reinforcing the importance of financial education and leaving participants equipped to implement actionable strategies in their personal and professional lives.
