Africa-Press – Botswana. SCUD Missile Promotions will make history on October 31 by hosting the first Professional Boxing Association of Botswana (PBAB) National Championship title fight. The event will feature a junior lightweight division showdown between Boifang “Dollar B” Kenaope and Aobakwe “ZuluBoy” Mphezulu.
At a press briefing, SCUD Missile Promotions representative Thuso Khubamang announced that the company has partnered with Thito Holdings as the main sponsor. The Grand Palm Hotel and Resort will serve as the official venue and host for the event.
The main bout will feature 10 rounds of action as Kenaope and Mphezulu battle for the prestigious national title. Fans can also expect five undercard fights that will see boxers from Botswana face off against competitors from South Africa, adding regional excitement to the night.
Khubamang said the championship marks a significant milestone for Botswana’s boxing scene. It not only promotes local talent but also positions the country as a growing hub for professional boxing in Southern Africa. He added that the partnership with Thito Holdings and the Grand Palm demonstrates confidence in the sport’s potential to attract both fans and investors.
The event is expected to draw large crowds and give local athletes a platform to showcase their skill and determination. Organizers have promised an evening of top-level boxing and entertainment aimed at reviving enthusiasm for the sport in Botswana.
