Africa-Press – Botswana. President Duma Boko says his ongoing engagements with investors are part of a clear and deliberate plan to transform Botswana’s economy within the next three years. Speaking about his daily work routine, he emphasized that every day brings long hours and crucial decisions, all aimed at shaping a stronger, more dynamic nation.

He said his administration is focused on driving a vision that will see Botswana emerge as a modern, inclusive and competitive economy. The President added that while some may find it hard to imagine a different Botswana, the results of ongoing reforms will soon make the vision clear.

“Every single day is a working day that brings its share of long hours and decisions that shape the path ahead. Yet through it all, my focus remains clear, to see a spectacularly different Botswana emerge within the next three years,” he said.

President Boko’s engagements have included strategic discussions with investors in key sectors such as renewable energy, agriculture, mining, tourism and digital infrastructure. These talks aim to attract sustainable investments, create jobs and expand local value chains.

He said Botswana’s future depends on bold decisions that build on its strengths while opening new opportunities for innovation and growth. The government’s investment agenda seeks to reduce dependence on traditional exports and promote diversification through private sector partnerships.

“This is the journey of transformation, bold, deliberate and unshaken,” he stated.

President Boko noted that change requires both vision and persistence. He said his administration is working to remove barriers that have slowed business growth, improve service delivery and build investor confidence.

Key reforms include easing business registration processes, expanding access to financing for small enterprises and improving infrastructure to support trade. The government also aims to strengthen education and technical training to prepare citizens for emerging industries.

He expressed confidence that as reforms take effect and investment projects gain traction, Batswana will begin to see measurable results. “Those who may have never imagined a different and better Botswana may find the vision difficult to fathom, but as time unfolds, as change begins to take root and results become visible, clarity will come,” he said.

President Boko reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive growth, saying no citizen should be left behind in the transformation journey. He called on both local and international investors to partner with Botswana in creating a future driven by innovation, sustainability and shared prosperity.
