LETTICIA TO OFFICIATE IN 2022 WOMEN’S CUP OF NATIONS

Africa-Press – Botswana. FIFA accredited referee Letticia Viana continues to shine on international scenes after she has been appointed to officiate at the 2022 Women’s African Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

The WAFCON tournament is one of Africa’s biggest women’s sport events and it will commence on July 2 in Morocco with the final scheduled for 23.

Viana has been selected with 38 other match officials from various countries to take charge of one of the many games that will be played during the competition.

It is not Viana’s first time officiating in a big tournament having taken charge of international matches in the past.

This year’s tournament will be the biggest following the expansion of the participants to 12 teams.

The host Morocco will take on Burkina Faso, Senegal and Uganda in Group A, while Group B comprised of Cameroon, Zambia, Tunisia and Togo with the event set to be televised across Africa.
