Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Tlokweng police are on the hunt for a man who raped a 20-year-old woman on Saturday after masquerading as a cab driver.<\/b><\/p>\n

Tlokweng Police Station commander, Superintendent Unoziba Rari told The Monitor that on the day at around 11am the young woman had sought the service of a cab from the Gaborone taxi station to Tlokweng.<\/p>\n

Rari said when narrating the ordeal the victim stated that when arriving in Tlokweng the driver of a Honda Fit drove past the village heading towards the border, took the Modipane turn, drove into the bush, and raped her without using any form of protection.<\/p>\n

\u201cPrior to the rape incident, the suspect used force and ended up stabbing the victim with a knife five times before fleeing the crime scene, leaving the victim in the bush,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe victim who had sustained wounds on the head was rushed to Princess Marina Hospital where she was admitted for a night and released the following day. The victim said she had paid P100.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rari said investigations into the matter are ongoing to locate the suspect who is still at large.<\/p>\n
