Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>The organizers of the CRACKiT Challenge Cup say they will reschedule the one-day tournament to September 3 following a Botswana Football Association (BFA) directive.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Botswana Football Association has told its structures not to organise any matches on August 27 as the Zebras will be in action against Madagascar in an African Nations Championship (CHAN) tie. CRACKiT chief executive officer, Moemedi Senwelo told Mmegi Sport that the competition will now be moved to September.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will reschedule to 3rd September 2022,\u201d Senwelo said on Monday. He said the shift in dates will affect bookings although they are yet to establish the other impact. \u201c(Iam )Not sure yet but it will affect every booking,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The tournament was scheduled to take place at the Lobatse Sports Complex but the BFA ordered all its structure not to engage in any football activity on the day.<\/p>\n

The tournament is due to feature giants, Township Rollers, Mochudi Centre Chiefs, Extension Gunners and Masitaoka. CRACKiT has already committed P1million to the one-day challenge and now face a tough decision. The BFA, in a statement released today, said all other football activities by their structures should cease on the day.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe BFA wishes to inform the nation and all football clubs, structures and entities that the Zebras will be engaged in a very important CHAN Qualifiers match against Madagascar on the 27th August 2022 at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown.<\/p>\n

Therefore, there shall be no football engagements by any football club, entity or structure across the country in respect of this important fixture. With the greatest humility, clubs, entities and other structures are hereby so directed and instructed,\u201d reads the statement.<\/p>\n
