\nOvercome with joy, Michell Morwe described Saturday, 10 December 2022, as the happiest day of her 27 years on the planet so far.<\/b><\/p>\n

It was the day she won P70, 000 from First National Bank Botswana (FNBB) as part of the bank\u2019s Swipe and Win competition.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have never been this happy in my life,\u201d she told, shortly after beating two other contestants to scoop the cash prize in Francistown.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt first, when I got a call from an unknown number telling me I have been selected for the competition I was a bit skeptical about it. I had to go through their Facebook page and saw it is indeed genuine,\u201d admitted the mother-of-one, who hails from Phitshane Molopo.<\/p>\n

Although she cannot remember the exact date she started banking with FNBB, Morwe notes the relationship must date back around 10 years.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am a \u2018swipest\u2019, so I\u2019m not shocked to have been selected!\u201d she chuckled.<\/p>\n

Morwe plans to use the money to buy herself a car, mobile kitchen and a cell phone.<\/p>\n

\u201cAn iPhone,\u201d she declared, adding gratefully, \u201cI will never forget this day, FNBB funded my dream!\u201d<\/p>\n

Her opponents on the day, Boitshepo Madile and Richard Magosi, finished second and third over a number of ball-related activities to pocket P5, 000 each.<\/p>\n

Giving an overview of the campaign, FNBB Business Development Manager-Consumer Banking, Maemo Baleseng revealed it started on 9 September and runs until 31 January next year.<\/p>\n

The competition was divided into two phases, staring with the bank giving away three double tickets to the on-going Football World Cup in Qatar.<\/p>\n

The second phase gives FNBB customers the chance to win their share of P1 million \u2013 all they have to do is swipe their FNBB cards at least five times.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur aim is to show our customers the benefits of swiping. That it\u2019s actually safer and also that they can track exactly how they have spent their money,\u201d explained Baleseng, adding the \u2018Swipe and Win\u2019 comp has been running for five years now, with the bank giving away cars and cash as past prizes.<\/p>\n
