Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi has described Grootlaagte councillor, Mr Ezekiel Kajuu, as a national jewel and patriotic servant. <\/b><\/p>\n

The President, who was in Ghanzi yesterday to pass his condolences to the Kajuu family, said he was saddened by Mr Kajuu\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

He described him as a hard worker, was fit physically, spiritually and politically.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the President said Mr Kajuu\u2019s death was a loss to Ghanzi and Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), which he represented as a councillor.<\/p>\n

President Masisi said the departed councillor was a jovial and humble leader who stood ready to serve the constituents diligently, adding he mentored many national leaders.<\/p>\n

He said leaders of Mr Kajuu\u2019s calibre contributed to the success of his presidency.<\/p>\n

Moreover, President Masisi said Mr Kajuu\u2019s national and political work had not only exalted the BDP or the ward he represented, but also his family\u2019s name as he was a giant known even beyond Botswana borders.<\/p>\n

Dr Masisi implored those aspiring to fill Mr Kajuu\u2019s shoes to be equal to the task since the councillor had set the bar high.<\/p>\n

He urged them to emulate Mr Kajuu\u2019s vision and continue where he left off.<\/p>\n

Mr Kajuu\u2019s elder sister, Ms Francisca Ogono said the councillor died of stroke last week.<\/p>\n

The uncle, Mr Samuel Kandu, thanked the President and BDP for their support saying it was \u2018so comforting and healed the broken hearts.\u2019<\/p>\n

Mr Kajuu would be laid to rest in Makunda on Saturday.<\/p>\n
