Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Miss Botswana 2023 has kicked off the new year with an official announcement that she is the Face of KGK Diamonds.<\/b><\/p>\n

Alongside Botswana\u2019s king of the tracks Nigel Amos, Lesego Chombo was a showstopper at the official inauguration of KGK Diamonds and Entice launch in Gaborone last week where President Mokgweetsi Masisi and the First Lady Neo Masisi were in attendance.<\/p>\n

The relationship between Miss Botswana and KGK Diamonds dates back to the creation of the new official Miss Botswana crown that was gifted to Chombo at the Miss Botswana grand finale in October last year.<\/p>\n

A great year ahead<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cAs the Miss Botswana Organisation, we look forward to a great year with our partner KGK Diamonds and are grateful for their impact on Chombo\u2019s reign,\u201d said Miss Botswana Organisation\u2019s PR and Communications Executive, Tshepiso Solomon.<\/p>\n

Beauty with a Purpose<\/b><\/p>\n

The Maun native will officially go out onto the street to launch her Beauty With A Purpose project in Malolwane on Saturday 27, January 2022.<\/p>\n

Chombo on her project<\/b><\/p>\n

The Project aims to create a conducive environment for the benefit of economically-disadvantaged children through a developmental programme that will equip their parents with the skills and behavioural attributes that they need to promote their children\u2019s emotional, social and cognitive well-being.<\/p>\n

The project ultimately aims to bridge the gap between the environment that children in rural and poverty-stricken homes grow up in versus those in urban and economically stable homes.<\/p>\n

The programme is co-facilitated by stakeholders such as psychologists, teachers, pediatricians and social welfare professionals whose role is to impart accurate and sustainable knowledge on such parents.<\/p>\n

Said Chombo: \u201cAs part of my project, I am also hosting developmental outings for economically-disadvantaged children comprising specialist medical checks, educational activities and introduction to artistry, the goal of which was to expose the children to a conducive environment and shape their perspectives.\u201d<\/p>\n

Miss World<\/b><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Miss World pageant is set to take place in May 2023. \u201cBe assured that our queen is very excited and has already been planning her looks, talent and content since last year,\u201d said Solomon. \u201cHer gaze is fixed on that blue crown, no questions asked!\u201d<\/p>\n
