Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Members of UCCSA in Tlokweng have been urged to humble themselves before the Lord, act justly and love mercifully.<\/b><\/p>\n

Reverend Kenneth Tlhabiwa said this during a Sunday church service attended by President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi and First Lady Neo Masisi.<\/p>\n

In his sermon, Rev. Tlhabiwa said the bible stated that when the Israelites disobeyed God with actions not reflective of his ways, he reminded them he was still the Lord who brought them out of Egypt, rescued them from all enemies and blessed them with a gift of love.<\/p>\n

He said it was unfortunate to observe that people were proud to be Christians and use such status as a showoff to others that they were better off than them, rather than using what God taught them to draw more people closer to his love.<\/p>\n

He said a Christian must remain humble so that those who were lost could see the love and the goodness of God through Christianity.<\/p>\n

Rev. Tlhabiwa said it was unfortunate that some Christians behaved in a manner not reflective of God. \u201cAct good, love your neighbour, be just in your actions and walk humbly with God,\u201d said Rev. Tlhabiwa.<\/p>\n

He said the gratitude of God taught people to do good.<\/p>\n

He said all God was asking was for Christians to stand up, plead his case and let his voice be heard through their good deeds.<\/p>\n

Rev. Tlhabiwa said when people were troubled, they appealed to God to intervene and therefore all they must do was to follow God\u2019s ways for him to listen.<\/p>\n

He said people hardly listened to God, but remembered him when faced with predicaments.<\/p>\n

Despite God\u2019s plea with his people to follow his ways and do good, Rev. Tlhabiwa said it was unfortunate to observe that wrong doing continued to prevail.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe word of God can make us better and serve others better,\u201d he said. He said Christians must always remember to act just and ensure that justice prevails.<\/p>\n

Rev. Tlhabiwa said the only plea from God was for his people to preach his word.<\/p>\n
