Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Internationally acclaimed South African born singer, songwriter and guitarist, Jonathan Butler is scheduled to perform in Gaborone on March 4 at a show titled Afro Jazz 2023 Live with Jonathan Butler.<\/b><\/p>\n

Butler, whose music is often classified as rhythm and blues, jazz fusion or worship will be hosted by Leapfrog Communications and Advertising Agency.<\/p>\n

Targeting mid to higher income earners who love live music, Afro Jazz 2023 Live with Jonathan Butler is an old school meet new school sound with seasoned performers from Botswana in the likes of Sereetsi and the Natives and Khoi San alongside South Africa\u2019s former Idols SA participant Lloyiso.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe lineup touches on the old school and new school, and it will be interesting to see at the end of the show which one outperformed the other,\u201d said the event organiser, Fish Pabalinga.<\/p>\n

Pabalinga indicated that there was need to stage live performance shows in Botswana specially that there were many people who appreciated live shows.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe there is a demand for live show performances and Botswana needs to have a live music event scene,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n

The Afro Jazz 2023 Live with Jonathan Butler is also expected to attract tourists to the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhenever we have big acts such as Jonathan Butler in Botswana, the rest of the world appreciates us and plan their visits here,\u201d Pabalinga said. He said whilst in Botswana, Butler would also unwind up by playing golf and going on Safari.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the show are on sale at P300 normal ticket and P1 500 for VIP, and sold at web tickets and Spar outlets.<\/p>\n
