Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Former Botswana Football Association (BFA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Goabaone Taylor is a relieved person after her court victory over the association.<\/b><\/p>\n

Taylor was dismissed by BFA last year for \u2018misappropriating’ the association\u2019s funds amounting to P8.8 million. She then decided to take the local soccer governing body to court citing unfair dismissal. The industrial court ruled that Taylor was unfairly dismissed. The court has since awarded her the equivalent of three months\u2019 salary as compensation although she had filed to for the compensation of the remaining two years of her contract.<\/p>\n

Taylor was sacked less than a year into her three-year contract. \u201cThe most important thing has been to rebuild my professional reputation, so I am very relieved that my journey with BFA ends in this manner. I can now move on and focus on more value creating opportunities for me and my children.\u201d Taylor was reportedly on a monthly salary of P90, 000 and the court decision will see her take home around P300,000.<\/p>\n
