Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Upcoming local poet Kethamile Lekang has organised an event themed: Perfect Rhythm, to give other artists and those in the industry an opportunity to network.<\/b><\/p>\n

In an interview, Lekang said the event, which was her maiden, would be held at IDM University, Seraleng Cafe\u0301 on Friday and would bring together poets, guitarists, saxophonists, fashion designers, and vocalists among others.<\/p>\n

She said through the event, the aim is to engage participants and provide a platform for breakthroughs and connections for different artistes in their respective fields. The Moshupa born said her poetry journey dates back to when she was only 12-years-old.<\/p>\n

\u201cI started doing poetry because I could express myself much easier with poems instead of confiding in people.<\/p>\n

Poetry has been rewarding in the sense that it keeps me well-balanced on mental issues,\u201d said Lekang.<\/p>\n

She appreciated the main sponsors of the event such as IDM University and DJ Govea for making it possible. Tickets are available at Web tickets P50.<\/p>\n
