Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>The national Under 20 women football team reported for camp on Monday to prepare for COSAFA women\u2019s Under 20 to be played in South Africa this month.<\/b><\/p>\n

National team coach, Tapaphiwa Gaebolae, said in an interview that most of the players she had called were in the Under 20 national team in 2021, while others were graduating from U-17 or had proven themselves in the women\u2019s league.<\/p>\n

Gaebolae said she was confident that all the players would fight for a position in the team.<\/p>\n

She said she was building a team that would take long in the setup, hence most of the girls being 17 years old.<\/p>\n

The coach said she was happy the players were responding and knew the importance of making it to the national team.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes most of the players will be making their debut in the national team colours, whereas like I said others were graduates from the junior team, so expectations are that they will gel as a team,\u201d Gaebolae said.<\/p>\n

The Squad<\/b><\/p>\n

Goalkeepers: Gosego Mokola (Security Systems), Karabo Luka (Western Dynamites), Game Ramaeba (Township Rollers) and Tsone Ditshane (Tutume Soccer Angels).<\/p>\n

Defenders: Boitshepo Lombala, Neo Bulala (Mexican Girls), Desiree Kenyaditswe, Maduo Radijeng, Ontibile Lepono, (Double Action), Neo Repito (Big Sisters), Thando Boitshepo (Francistown United), Maugo Maponga (Gaborone United)<\/p>\n

Midfielders: Tlhompo Gabana (Francistown United), Peggy Manewe, Dimpo Sedirwa (Western Dynamites), Precious Tlhapi (Makufa Sporting Club), Lotang Ebineng (Wonder Girls) Dinah Morapedi, Katlo Ditsele (Zodiac), Koketso Molwantwa, (Bonto FC), Lebogang Dilelo (Dynamis), Tebogo Pitse (Flying Girls), Kefilwe Haranga, Serati Modisenyane (Double Action).<\/p>\n
