{"id":25473,"date":"2023-04-13T08:35:56","date_gmt":"2023-04-13T08:35:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/botswana\/?p=25473"},"modified":"2023-04-13T09:16:01","modified_gmt":"2023-04-13T09:16:01","slug":"mou-to-boost-information-dissemination","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/botswana\/all-news\/mou-to-boost-information-dissemination","title":{"rendered":"MoU to boost information dissemination"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Botswana. <\/strong><\/span><b>ing (MoA) between the Competition and Consumer Authority (CCA) and Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sport and Culture (MYSC) will enable both organisations to effectively disseminate information to their clientele.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Speaking during the MoU signing in Gaborone yesterday, MYSC permanent secretary, Mr Kagiso Kemoeng, said it was in their interest to see to it that a variety of information was provided at various libraries for the benefit of customers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs such, we see this partnership having come at the right time and above all helping us realise this huge mandate and it is for this reason that we have joined hands with Competition and Consumer Authority to extend some of its services through our widespread network of public libraries,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Through the public libraries, CCA will be able to provide consumer information and education as well as register ccomplaints.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am therefore convinced that this partnership will help us deliver one of the President\u2019s Reset Agenda priority areas of, aligning government machinery to the presidential agenda. Similar functions will come together to provide similar services and thus doing much with less and consequently saving government money in the process.\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>For her part, CCA chief executive officer, Ms Tebelelo Pule, said she was grateful of the partnership because it would assist customers in rural areas to access services.<\/p>\n<p>She said since CCA services would be found in about 12 libraries, customers would have a desk where to lodge complaints than to Gaborone to seek for help.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI urge all Batswana to use the services at the libraries because this partnership seeks to bring services closer to the people,\u201d adding that the library was a gateway to knowledge and culture and they played a fundamental role in society.<\/p>\n<p>She said having their services at the libraries meant that their resources and services would create opportunities for learning, support literacy and education, as well as help shape new ideas<b>.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/botswana\">Botswana<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Botswana. ing (MoA) between the Competition and Consumer Authority (CCA) and Ministry of Youth, Gender, Sport and Culture (MYSC) will enable both organisations to effectively disseminate information to their clientele.
