Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>The Reset Agenda presents an opportunity to identify gaps in service delivery including remedial measures.<\/b><\/p>\n

Chairperson of Ntlo Ya Dikgosi Kgosi Puso told in an interview following a two-day government and dikgosi retreat at Manong Game Lodge on Thursday that introspection on service provision was critical for the country to fully realise the results of the transformation agenda.<\/p>\n

He, therefore, promised commitment to drive the noble initiative and that as dikgosi they would strive to cascade Reset and Reclaim Agenda in their respective areas of jurisdiction.<\/p>\n

Kgosi Tjazako Munduu of Ngami region expressed delight at the retreat, saying it enlightened dikgosi as custodians of people on the expectations of the Reset Agenda.<\/p>\n

He said the Reset Agenda challenged Batswana to be more productive in different spheres of the economy to aid the country to attain high-income status.<\/p>\n

For his part, Chief of Staff Mr Boyce Sebetela challenged magosi to harness opportunities in their respective villages citing heritage sites which could be used in the transformation of the country.<\/p>\n

As an example, he said the first two aeroplanes in the country landed at an airstrip in Palapye, a tourism opportunity which residents could exploit to change their livelihoods and add value to the transformation agenda.<\/p>\n

He also emphasised the importance of value chain to maximise profits, saying this could only be achieved through mindset change.<\/p>\n

He said the Reset Agenda envisioned a Botswana that was effective with proper working infrastructure and systems, a citizenry that had globally competitive skills and was attractive to international investors and experts.<\/p>\n
