The case has since been scheduled for Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Khama is the secretary-general of the BPF. Some of the key BPF members fighting in Butale\u2019s corner are publicity ,Lawrence Ookeditse and ordinary member Ford Moiteela. Tshekedi is backed by Vuyo Notha and Robert Mariba.<\/p>\n<p>In recent weeks Tshekedi and Butale held separate BPF activities. Tshekedi and members of his faction argue that Butale resigned from the party during a national executive committee (NEC) meeting early in March and should not hold any activity under the BPF name. Butale has denied resigning. The position of his faction is that Tshekedi, Notha and Mariba are suspended from the party and should not execute any activity under its name.<\/p>\n<p>The factions are also divided in relation to holding an elective congress. Butale\u2019s faction prefers an extra ordinary congress over an elective congress.<\/p>\n<p>They want an elective congress to be held after the 2024 General Election. The faction claims that an elective congress is divisive in nature and can negatively affect preparations for the General Election.
