Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Security Systems\u2019 two quick goals at the start of the second half shocked UB Kicks, which failed to maintain the lead in a DTCB Women\u2019s Division One league played at Lekidi on Saturday.<\/b><\/p>\n

With one goal down in the first half, Systems, alias Alarm Girls, had to ensure that they snapped out of it, pushed forward and booted two through Laone Moloi and Lame Daniel, against UB Kicks who were dominating.<\/p>\n

Kicks netted one in the early minutes of the game through Neil Reid.<\/p>\n

The Alarm Girls regrouped and ensured that they clicked as a team with Moloi seemingly becoming a problem for the opponents, who at that point failed to keep the ball.<\/p>\n

In a post-match interview, the disappointed UB Kicks coach, Matlhogonolo Mokgosi, said his team played well in the first half, but seemed to succumb to pressure in the second half.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt became apparent that the girls were failing to cope and by the time they were trying to handle the pressure it was already late.<\/p>\n

We conceded two goals but I think we could have done better after the first goal.<\/p>\n

We did not apply the necessary pressure,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

For his part, Systems coach, Omphile Madala, said he was happy with his side\u2019s \u2018no retreat, no surrender attitude\u2019.<\/p>\n

Madala, however, admitted that UB Kicks had them jagged in the first half, owing to his players\u2019 misguided approach and undermining their opponents.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was during half time that they managed to change their mindset and the game approach and that brought good results,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He added that as the game proceeded, they then resorted to playing the ball in the box, fully utilising their winger, hence their opponents were found wanting in the second half.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in another game played on Saturday, Double Action continued with their winning streak as they hammered Township Rollers 14-0.<\/p>\n

Another game saw Prisons play to a two-all draw with Wonder Girls.<\/p>\n

Wonder Girls are currently sitting at the bottom of the log.<\/p>\n
