Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>A Kedia woman recently became the 12th person to receive a house from Choppies Store.<\/b><\/p>\n

Presenting the house to Ms Goshotwang Mathumo recently, Vice President Slumber Tsogwane commended the company for ploughing back into the community through house donations.<\/p>\n

He thanked Choppies for extending a helping hand to the underprivileged members of society.<\/p>\n

Mr Tsogwane noted that Ms Mathumo was a widow and had lived in dilapidated house.<\/p>\n

The hope was that the house would make a huge impact on Ms Mathumo\u2019s life and that of her family, he said.<\/p>\n

Letlhakane Choppies Store Manager, Mr Thabiso Mothatego said his company had high regard for corporate social investment because its continued growth would not have been possible without customer support.<\/p>\n

He stated that since the beginning of the year, the company had spent close to P500 000 on housing the underprivileged members of society.<\/p>\n

Mr Mothatego said the intention was to make sure that the health, housing and educational needs of Batswana were met in a more sustainable way.<\/p>\n

He disclosed that the company had already engaged government on ways of achieving the plan.<\/p>\n

The beneficiary thanked Choppies Store for what she termed a magnificent gift which would go a long way in enhancing her dignity.<\/p>\n
