Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Female employees at the Massmedia Complex were on Thursday treated to a demonstration exercise on soft car care skills.<\/b><\/p>\n

The exercise was Department of Information Services\u2019 Mother\u2019s Day gift to government women journalists and support staff prior to Sunday the 14th.<\/p>\n

Car Doctor director, Dumisani Dube, who took time to give \u2018the mothers\u2019 car care tips, believes that equipping women with such soft skills would save them money and accord them safety and protection.<\/p>\n

Dube emphasised the need for women to acqure such skills as changing tyres, checking engine oils, water coolant and wipers among others, because that would help them attend to and tackle minor issues without calling strangers and doggy mechanics to assist only to be robbed.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost women have been robbed simply because they had no soft care skills. Even if they call for assistance, they fail to explain the challenge, as such some people take advantage of their ignorance,\u201d stated Dube.<\/p>\n

Information and Broadcasting Services deputy permanent secretary, Oshinka Tsiang commended women in the two departments for their team spirit and encouraged them to keep the spark alive.<\/p>\n
