Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Gabane Pottery will on Sunday host Sip and Mould event.<\/b><\/p>\n

Simply titled \u201cSip and Mould,\u201d the four hour event is targeted at adults who will be sipping beverages while learning the basics of moulding.<\/p>\n

Event organiser, Chongo Kabwe said they would start with giving patrons a tour of their production process which involves collecting clay, designing what they would like to mould, paint and bake it.<\/p>\n

She said they would demonstrate how to use the potters\u2019 wheels, and allow patrons to make their own products.<\/p>\n

The sip and mould idea started after the COVID-19 pandemic when Kabwe realised that her hospitality management qualification was not benefiting her in any way.<\/p>\n

She said she turned to pottery after realising that she would remain unemployed if she only relied on her qualifications, and that she knew pottery from an early age.<\/p>\n

Held under the theme: Embrace the unexpected, sip and mould would not only benefit the organiser, but it would also transfer skills to attendents transfer ceremony.<\/p>\n

Kabwe said that customers who had graced the session were coming back in large numbers to learn more and even came with their families or friends.<\/p>\n

Previously previously called Pelegano Village Industries, Gabane Pottery was eestablished in 1982 and caters for tailor made events for kids, corporates, team building exercises as well as individuals and couples.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the Sip and Mould event are sold at P350, inclusive of drinks and will start from 12noon until 4pm.<\/p>\n
