Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Botswana Patriotic Front (BPF) leader, Mr Biggie Butale has promised that his party would work with other political parties and civil societies to deliver a new Botswana.<\/b><\/p>\n

He said good governance, coupled with respect for human rights was high on their agenda.<\/p>\n

Mr Butale was launching Serowe West parliamentary candidate, Mr Onalepelo Kedikilwe at a political rally near Serowe\u2019s Lady Khama freedom square on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The by elections will be held next Saturday. The constituency was left vacant after former MP, Mr Tshekedi Khama was disqualified after failing to attend two consecutive Parliament sessions.<\/p>\n

Mr Butale said they would create jobs for the youth and graduates, adding that they would also manage resources prudently for the benefit of Batswana.<\/p>\n

The BPF president said his party would priorities the fight against corruption without discrimination. He said they had people\u2019s interests at heart, hence Batswana should vote for them.<\/p>\n

Mr Butale said their objective was to improve the lives of Batswana by bringing developments to every corner of the country.<\/p>\n

BPF women\u2019s league president, Ms Catharine Sepora called on Serowe West constituents to vote for BPF in order to see positive changes in their constituency.<\/p>\n

She encouraged women to take the lead and participate in politics. Ms Sepora assured Batswana that BPF\u2019s footprints had been left in all parts of the country, having fielded council candidates in many wards.<\/p>\n

For his part, MP for Francistown South and member of Alliance for Progressives (AP), Mr Winter Mmolotsi said BPF and other opposing parties had a roadmap that needed the support of the nation.<\/p>\n

Mmolotsi said opposition parties were working round the clock to address challenges facing the country. He appealed to Batswana to give other parties a chance to lead and drive the national programmes and policies.<\/p>\n

MP for Jwaneng\/Mabutsane, Mr Mephato Reatile decried joblessness and shortage of drugs in health facilities countrywide.<\/p>\n

He accused Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Kgotla Autlwetse of causing instability in Serowe. He appealed to Serowe West electorates to vote for Mr Kedikilwe in large numbers.<\/p>\n

MP Reatile said Botswana needed a strong and visionary leadership for economic development.<\/p>\n

For his part, Mr Kedikilwe called upon Serowe West constituents to vote for him to continue where Mr Khama had left, promising to work hard and make developments visible in the constituency.<\/p>\n
