Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>THE Mighty Warriors face a tough assignment in their quest to overturn a three-one deficit when they clash with Botswana in the second leg of the Women Africa Cup of Nations final qualifier in Francistown this Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) is set for Morocco in July.<\/p>\n

After losing 3-1 in the first leg, the Mighty Warriors need to win by a 3-goal margin to qualify for their fifth AWCON.<\/p>\n

The Mighty Warriors marched into Francistown this Monday confident that they can still turn the tables and upstage the Mares in their backyard.<\/p>\n

However, history and form is not in their favour as they have never overturned a three-nil deficit before with their current form also another drawback.<\/p>\n

In their last five outings, the Mighty Warriors have lost twice and won three times.<\/p>\n

Of major concern is that some of the victories were not convincing especially after scraping through against lowly South Sudan.<\/p>\n

The Mighty Warriors can however take solace from the fact that they have a good record against Botswana after winning 12 matches in 16 outings against the Mares.<\/p>\n

A total of 12 teams will qualify for the Africa Women Cup of Nations finals with the top four teams at the end of the tournament qualifying for the 2023 Women\u2019s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.<\/p>\n

Two other teams will advance to the inter-confederation play-offs.<\/p>\n

It, however, remains a fact that Sithethelelwe \u201cKwinji 15\u201d Sibanda\u2019s charges have it all to do for them to be among the best in Africa.<\/p>\n
