Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Gungwe Primary School\u2019s attainment of 100 per cent ABC in the 2022 Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) shows commitment, teamwork and hard work by stakeholders.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking during Gungwe Primary School victory celebrations on Friday, the Institute of Development Management (IDM) -Francistown Campus manager Mr Elijah Moakofhi said the impact the school made was remarkable.<\/p>\n

Mr Moakofhi said it was time to acknowledge the outstanding work done by the community and leaders who immensely contributed to the good results.<\/p>\n

He said their dedication and sacrifices led to the wonderful performance of the children in their 2022 PSLE results, adding that the children had a long way to go in their lives as they carry the country\u2019s hope for a better tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Mr Moakofhi told parents that their unwavering support was important as they managed to put the school in the spotlight that it was one of the best performing primary schools in the country.<\/p>\n

He said as the country was reliant on minerals, once depleted, there would be no income hence the need to find alternatives such as knowledge creation.<\/p>\n

To the students who are now doing Form 1, he said, their journey had begun, adding that the country was looking at them with keen interest and places them in high esteem.<\/p>\n

Mr Moakofhi noted that the results were a partial reflection of a learner achievement and a partial measure of prudent educational management and might not necessarily reflect on various latent gifts undiscovered in the learners yet they remained important.<\/p>\n

He urged them to continue doing that throughout their lives, citing that it would be disheartening to learn that some of those beautiful and brilliant brains had indulged in drugs.<\/p>\n

Principal Education Officer II in the Ministry of Education and Skills Development, Mr Seiphimolo Mahube said teamwork was the driving force behind every successful organization.<\/p>\n

He said only when employees come together under a shared vision and a goal, put together their strength and complement each other\u2019s weaknesses could an organization grow to its greatest heights.<\/p>\n

Mr Mahube said, \u201cTeamwork also improves employee morale, increases productivity and this leads to personal and professional development when people working together learn from each other and grows in strength and ability from shared knowledge and skills.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said teamwork opened doors for brainstorming ideas and provided a pool of diverse thinking which added quality to the end product.<\/p>\n

Teamwork also leads to faster problem solving, diverse skills and expertise and also allows alternative means to solving problems and enhancing creativity, he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt also allows exchange of ideas in a group which result in a limitless potential for innovation and exploration of new concepts and faster execution of ideas,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He said when people work as a team, there was always no finger pointing when results come out.<\/p>\n

For her part, Gungwe Primary School head, Ms Ntombizodwa Kuswane, said today\u2019s life needed an educated person hence they were aiming high to produce competent students.<\/p>\n

She said they found it paramount to bring IDM on board as stakeholders because they were bound to admit some of the students when they reach tertiary level.<\/p>\n
