Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Former Tonota traditional leader, Kgosi Ramosinyi Radipitse has died at the age of 93.<\/b><\/p>\n

He died on Tuesday night due to old age, according to his son, Kgosi Bokamoso Radipitse.<\/p>\n

His son, who is currently the heir to the throne, said his father died peacefully at his house at Molebatsi ward in Tonota.<\/p>\n

The late kgosi assumed the traditional leadership of Tonota in 1983 and served his people diligently until he retired in 2016.<\/p>\n

Kgosi Bokamoso Radipitse said a kgotla meeting would be addressed to officially announce the death of the former leader and the preparations for his burial.<\/p>\n

According to his wife, Ms Seipone Radipitse, the late leader worked in various companies in South Africa, including mines during his yesteryears.<\/p>\n

The late Kgosi Radipiditse\u2019s friend, Kgosi Simon Nkgageng of Tatisiding described the late Radipitse as a humble person who loved his people.<\/p>\n

Kgosi Nkgageng explained that the late Radipitse served the traditional institution without fear or favour and was amongst the best leaders of his times, covering a vast area that included villages such as Mokubilo and Mmeya.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was not just a leader, but a man of integrity who respected the traditional institutions of this county.<\/p>\n

He will forever be missed and is not only a loss to his family and the people of Tonota, but to the entire nation,\u201d said Kgosi Nkgageng.<\/p>\n

He is survived by his wife, two sons and five daughters.<\/p>\n

At the time of going to press, funeral arrangements were not yet known.<\/p>\n
