Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Twenty four year-old budding entrepreneur Atang Thibelang is living proof that passion and business are intertwined. <\/b><\/p>\n

Having been a racing fanatic from tender age and lover for good wear and appearance, Thibelang turned his interest to business.<\/p>\n

He narrarted in an interview that during Limkokwing varsity days he used to order apparels from as far as China, solely to look fabulous, and compliments form his peers\u2019 on his sassy appearance, made him realise that this was a business opportunity.<\/p>\n

He started ordering to sell.<\/p>\n

His business started booming hence when he graduated with Associate degree in Architecture technology in 2020 he did not join the unemployed bracket but decided to start something with his allowance savings and profits he made while at varsity.<\/p>\n

He continued selling clothes while working as a freelance photographer.<\/p>\n

\u201cInitially I was keeping my stock at home and used public transport to deliver to my clients that I met through my Facebook business page and through recommendations. In 2022 I bought a car to use for deliveries and I also realised that the clientele has grown, hence I needed a permanent point of sale.\u201d<\/p>\n

Today Thibelang is the owner of Onius Motorsport Clothing at Molapo Crossing mall and has employed a shop assistant.<\/p>\n

The store opened its doors to the public in April and has become a common spot for fashion and sport lovers across ages.<\/p>\n

The director of Onius Motor-sport Clothing observed that traditional motor-sport clothing often caters to a mature audience, leaving out younger fans. It is against such backdrop that he decided to address this gap by infusing designs with the vibrancy and energy that resonate with the younger generation.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnius Motor-sport clothing is more than just a collection of racing-themed apparel, it\u2019s a fusion of fashion forward designs and functionality tailored to the needs of modern motor-sport enthusiasts,\u201d said Thibelang.<\/p>\n

Thibelang said he assembled motorbikes for sale, a talent that he nurtured with the help of his uncle and was now customising the models for customers.<\/p>\n

\u201cI buy parts from various entities and take time to assemble the motorbikes, thereafter the motorbikes are tested for safety,\u201dadded Thibelang.<\/p>\n

He further highlighted that the shop offered a wide range of protective gear, such as helmets, gloves, t-shirts, jackets and hoodies to name but a few.<\/p>\n

Thibelang\u2019s journey from a young racing enthusiast to a successful entrepreneur serves as an inspiration to aspiring individuals seeking to make their mark in the motorsport industry.<\/p>\n

Embracing the recently launched mindset change initiative, Thibelang said his intention was to contribute to positively positioning the country in the global economy by venturing into the dynamic world of motorsport clothing.<\/p>\n

He further stated that the company was working on a project to donate sanitary pads and food hampers to the less privileged in the community.<\/p>\n

He is of the notion that the relationship between motor sport clothing and health is not confined to appearances, stating that the brand plays a pivotal role in promoting health by offering gear that minimises risks as well as improving mental health.<\/p>\n
