Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Collaboration of Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) is vital in skills sharing and interactions that could enable their growth and improve production.<\/b><\/p>\n

Addressing Kgatleng Business Committee stakeholders Engagement workshop recently in Rasesa, Export Promotion and Development manager, Mr Calvin Ketshabetswe implored SMMEs to collaborate so that they could get better assistance.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking in assemblage can make you grow together and improve production,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He said government was determined to support SMMEs and promote market access for them.<\/p>\n

In that regard, he encouraged SMMEs to take advantage of programmes availed by government to turn around the economy as the country transitions to a high income status.<\/p>\n

Mr Ketshabetswe said through platforms like Botswana Development Export programme, Global Expo Botswana and others, their products stood a better chance to reach global markets.<\/p>\n

He said the Market International Unit programme opened up many businesses opportunities for Batswana and that they should utilise it to market their products or services outside the country.<\/p>\n

Mr Ketshabetswe highlighted the importance of branding their products for value-addition and appeal not only to domestic clientele.<\/p>\n

Kgatleng Business Committee Engagement workshop was meant to engage small business community on the initiative of PushaBW initiative that aims to drive and instil prioritisation of local products procurement and sensitise consumers about local products.<\/p>\n

The workshop gathered Kgatleng business community and key stakeholders to discuss and engage on the #PushaBW initiative by Brand Botswana, ways of marketing local products and the Business Exporters Development Programme.<\/p>\n
