Senior Magistrate Tshepo Thedi has sentenced Ramosimong to two years in prison wholly suspended on a condition that he does not commit any similar offence within that period.<\/p>\n

Delivering the sentence, presiding Magistrate Thedi yesterday told the court that Ramosimong had threatened to take the life of one Sylvia Keletso Ramosimong. It is said Molefi had threatened to take Sylvia’s life back in July 22nd, 2021.<\/p>\n

Pleading his case, Molefi who was found guilty of threat to kill asked the Magistrate to take into consideration the fact that he is a first-time offender. \u201cI plead that you consider a lenient sentence in the criminal sentence because it\u2019s a first time offence and have proven with time when I was on bail by appearing for court hearings that I am disciplined,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Senior Magistrate Thedi said people should note that threat to kill is one serious charge that they should be aware of. \u201cThe offence of threat to kill is a serious offence in nature and the society is getting more and more concerned by these cases,\u201d Thedi said.<\/p>\n

She, however, stated that she would consider that the accused is a first-time offender. The Magistrate then gave Ramosimong a suspended sentence.<\/p>\n
