Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi jetted off to Havana Cuba from Nassau this afternoon (Friday) completing his three-day state visit to The Commonwealth of the Bahamas.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking at the end of President Masisi’s official visit Prime Minister of The Bahamas Mr Phillip Davis said the visit was not merely an official visit but the growth of a deeply rooted friendship between the two nations.<\/p>\n

“This administration is actively strengthening it’s foreign policy and tPresident Masisi’s visit stands as clear evidence of this commitment. These engagements highlight our dedication to deepening existing ties and exploring new partnerships, underscoring our nations proactive stance in the global community, ” said Mr Davis.<\/p>\n

Mr Davis said the engagements had been wide ranging and profound where both nations deliberated on mutual interests focusing on tourism and agriculture.<\/p>\n

“These areas integral to both our economies provide a canvas on which both the Bahamas and Botswana can jointly paint a picture of sustainable growth and development,” he added.<\/p>\n

He said challenges and opportunities that lay ahead for both nations were mirrored in the ambitions of Botswana\u2019s Vision 2036 and The Bahamas Vision 2040.<\/p>\n

He said President Masisi’s visit would fortify the bond created for years.<\/p>\n

” in the days ahead may we look back at this time as pivotal moment when the two friends separated by geography but united by shared values and vision took decisive steps toward a brighter partnership,” he said.<\/p>\n

In an interview The Bahamas Minister of Education and Technical and Vocational training Glenys Hanna Martin said the engagements were powerful and rich.<\/p>\n

She said they allowed for other dialgoues between Minister who brought together shared interests.<\/p>\n

“The collaboration and Consolidation were important moving forward. When we look at the global realities and dynamic forces leading in different direction important to be able to find combined forces with common ground. This was a successful and important trip, we are enlightened about Botswana in a number of ways, ” said Ms Martin.<\/p>\n
