Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA) has launched an online service platform, an innovative way of giving their customers good service, and also addressing the challenges they faced.<\/b><\/p>\n

Under the tag line \u2018Kaekapakae\u2019 the online service will allow customers to inquire about CEDA offerings, apply for loans and submit online, track loan application progress, check loan balance as well as to request for statements amongst other services.<\/p>\n

Speaking during the launch this morning, the Minister of Entrepreneurship, Karabo Gare, applauded the initiative adding that it is part of government’s reset agenda in which parastatals were tasked with developing and implementing strategies whose core focus is to leave no one behind. They are also tasked with embracing and incorporating digitalisation with a focus of building a customer experience that is integrated, seamless and trusted.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn today’s rapidly changing world, the digitisation of our systems and services as government has become not just a choice but a necessity. It is a powerful tool that can reshape our nation’s progress hence why government has committed to connect villages with free citizen internet access points (200Mbps),\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Optimistic CEDA Thabo Thamae<\/p>\n

According to Gare, through the platform, CEDA is opening doors to a new era of economic development and accessibility.<\/p>\n

“This platform will serve as a bridge, connecting entrepreneurs, SMMEs, creatives, and innovators with the resources and support they need to thrive in today’s economic climate. We understand the importance of inclusivity, and I have been reliably informed that this new CEDA online platform has been designed to be user-friendly and accessible to all, \u201c he said<\/p>\n

Effective today, customers can access the platform on the CEDA website.<\/p>\n

The launch was hosted at the village of Motokwe with dignitaries in attendance including Chief of Staff, Boyce Sebetlela, the area Member of Parliament, Friction Leuwe, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Talita Monnakgotla, and other senior members of the government.<\/p>\n
