Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Botswana will host the Savings and Credit Cooperative Associations Congress of the African Confederation of Cooperative Savings and Credit Association (ACCOSCA) at Phakalane Golf Estate Resort and Convention Centre on October 08 \u2013 13.<\/b><\/p>\n

The congress will be officially opened by President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi on October 10 at Royal Aria Hotel in Tlokweng.<\/p>\n

The SACCA congress is expected to bring together 1,000 cooperatives\u2019 leaders from more than 35 countries.<\/p>\n

Addressing the media September 25, Minister of Entrepreneurship, Mr Karabo Gare, said the congress was another opportunity to position Botswana as a venue of choice for regional and continental conferences.He said the congress aimed to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among nations to tackle common challenges and explore innovative approaches to harness the potential of cooperative movements.<\/p>\n

With a focus on promoting sustainable economic growth, social equality, and inclusive development, Mr Gare said the summit served as an important platform to exchange experiences and best practices in cooperative governance, entrepreneurship, and community development.<\/p>\n

The event would feature distinguished keynote speakers, renowned experts, and prominent leaders from the cooperatives sector, providing valuable insights and thought-provoking discussions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThrough engaging panel discussions, interactive workshops, and networking sessions, participants will have the opportunity to forge meaningful partnerships, strengthen international cooperation, and explore avenues for mutual growth and prosperity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr Gare said the congress would be attended by dignitaries who include cabinet ministers from Africa, African Regional Economic Block heads, Permanent Secretaries, and leaders from the Global Cooperative Movement.<\/p>\n

He said Botswana was proud to showcase her vibrant cooperative sector, which has played a pivotal role in the country\u2019s socio-economic advancement.<\/p>\n
