Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>A 29-year-old woman of Bobonong village who was a passenger in a Honta Fit vehicle that collided with a VW by the Phase 2 traffic lights died on the spot Sunday morning.<\/b><\/p>\n

The other three occupants, the Honda Fit driver (a 38 year old male), his two other passengers, (a woman and a man) are critical and currently fighting for their lives at Sidilega Private Hospital.<\/p>\n

Gaborone West Police Station Traffic Officer, Assistant Superintendent, Onkemetse Mahatlhe, said the accident occurred at 00:40hrs after one of the vehicles failed to stop at the traffic lights.<\/p>\n

“The Honda Fit vehiclthe had four people on board, the deceased who was a passenger sitting at the back, the driver and two passengers, a man and a woman both aged beloved 30 whilst the VW had two people on board, the driver, a 69-year-old man and a female passenger who all escaped the accident with minor injuries. All of the seriously injured sustained serious head injuries and they are still unconscious,” she said.<\/p>\n

She added that the deceased was not wearing her seat belt as she was thrown to the front of the car when the accident occured.<\/p>\n

Mahatlhe explained that the Honda Fit vehicle was on a straight facing CBD from the bus rank side, while the VW car was turning right from CBD side when the accident occurred.<\/p>\n
