Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Orange Botswana, through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm, the Orange Foundation, continues to champion digital inclusion by extending their Digital Schools Programme to Mafitlhakgosi Primary School in Gaborone.<\/b><\/p>\n

This endowment marks their 74th digital school kits donation to date.<\/p>\n

Said Orange Botswana Director Legal & Corporate Affairs, Lepata Mafa-Nthomola: \u201cIn this era where information is readily accessible and the proficiency to navigate digital environments is of utmost importance, it is our duty to empower young individuals with the expertise and wisdom required for their success.<\/p>\n

Digital education goes beyond merely teaching how to operate electronic devices; it involves preparing students for a world that is progressively interconnected and heavily reliant on technology.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Orange Digital Schools kit that will be handed over, represents a comprehensive set of tools and resources designed to bridge the digital divide and foster a dynamic learning environment.<\/p>\n

The kit will include the following equipment; View Sonic Interactive smart board, 25 tablets and 1 Raspberry server (loaded with Primary School syllabus)<\/p>\n

The Minister of Transport and Communications, Thulagano Segokgo, said: \u201cI would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Orange Botswana and the Orange Foundation for their significant commitment to enhancing digital literacy in primary schools throughout Botswana.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cThrough collaboration with the government, the students set to benefit from this program will be better prepared for the ever-changing world. This generous contribution of digital equipment will not only have an immediate impact on the students and educators at Mafitlhakgosi Primary School but will also play a vital role in cultivating a more digitally proficient society. This, in turn, will contribute to economic growth and nurture future leaders who will propel innovation and progress.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we stand on the threshold of a new age, where information is at our fingertips and the ability to navigate digital landscapes is paramount, it is our responsibility to equip young minds with the skills and knowledge necessary to thrive. These skills are not only essential for academic success but are the building blocks of the future workforce, where adaptability and digital fluency are prized assets.
