Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mr Eric Molale has affirmed government\u2019s commitment to promote home ownership including civil servants.<\/b><\/p>\n

Answering a question from Francistown South MP, Mr Wynter Mmolotsi, Minister Molale said government had in that regard taken the decision to lift moratorium on purchase of pool housing.<\/p>\n

However, Mr Molale hastened to state that preparatory actions were being finalised which included ascertaining the number, location and state of repair of such houses which should help in the final pricing.\u201cOnce the processes are concluded, the sale will commence before the end of this financial year,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr Mmolotsi had asked the minister to update the house on the progress of the lifting of the moratorium on purchasing of pool houses and whether the ministry had the capacity to deal with long outstanding matter.<\/p>\n
