Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Game City rooftop parkade will play host to a biannual lifestyle tennis-themed event on November 18.<\/b><\/p>\n

Termed Wimbledon 2.0 double edition, the show is curated by Taes Entaile of Richman and inspired by Wimbledon open.<\/p>\n

The first edition takes place first quarter of the year while the second comes just before the festive season.<\/p>\n

Entaile told that they opted for the theme because of its simplicity and accessibility yet feisty and daring. \u201cBecause our target market is mostly women, who make up 65 per cent of the crowd, we wanted to resonate our event with a sport that they will relate well with,\u201d said Entaile.<\/p>\n

The Wimbledon 2.0 performances will feature Awesome God hitmakers Artwork Sounds from South Africa, the Zimbabwean born now Mzansi based Sha Sha of Ungowami as well as DJ Fresh.<\/p>\n

Selection of performing acts, Entaile said was targeting artistes who would appeal to a chilled crown, but were not Botswana regulars.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted artistes who have a great catalogue and who would give an exclusive performance, with a nostalgic feel as well as current and trendy vibes,\u201d said Entaile.<\/p>\n

The double edition will also give audience Instagrammable moments with popular South Africa actors from The Wife; Kwenzi Ngcobo who plays Qhawe, Sipho Ndlovu who plays Sambulo and Mondli Makhoba whose character is Nkosazana Zulu.<\/p>\n

Entaile said the double edition meant everything was done in double portions from the ticket sales to performances, which would be done back to back.<\/p>\n

Patrons, he cautioned, were to come strictly clad in all white tennis gear.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are definitely bringing awesome vibes to our Botswana followers and we have a surprise. We have new music coming, so our fans should expect something beautiful,\u201d Rofhiwa \u2018Soultronixx\u2019 Ndou of Artwork Sounds duo said in an interview, declaring his excitement at being a part of Wimbledon 2.0.<\/p>\n

Frostbite, FME DJs and Macxwabana are some of Botswana DJs who make the Wimbledon 2.0 double edition lineup.<\/p>\n
