Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>The Broadhurst Magistrate Court this morning postponed the trial proceedings for the Turnrite Mall robbery case following a plea by one of the accused persons’ defence attorney Oagile Mosepele. Attorney Mosepele represents Mothusi Matomela and Thapelo Lekobe in the matter.<\/b><\/p>\n

The trial was set to resume today with a cross-examination after the Investigating Officer (IO) Joshua Ntau had given his evidence. However, Mosepele asked the court for postponement citing ill health. \u201cWe ask the court that the cross examination of the witness in the trial be moved to tomorrow latest and this is all on the reason that today I am not feeling well.<\/p>\n

So, I plead to be exempted today,” Attorney Mosepele said.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Mosepele told the court that the ground for asking for the postponement of the trial is to enable him to seek medical attention. Magistrate Goabaone Rammapodi-Lesedi ordered the postponement of the trial to tomorrow (Friday) after the state prosecutor Farai Mahwite and defence attorney Nkosana Ngwenya who represents Mzwandile Mazibuko and Elliot Ntshalintshali also said they were amenable to Mosepele’s plea.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn account of the health of Mosepele, cross examination will commence tomorrow at 0900am (Friday) and all the four accused persons will continue to remain in custody,\u201d she concluded.<\/p>\n
