Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>The last 32 draw of the Orange FA Cup on Tuesday served a ‘clash of the classics’ as old rivals Notwane face off against TAFIC as the sleeping giants look to strike it rich in the knockout tournament which carries a P700,000 grand prize.<\/p>\n

Pushing off the generally sluggish performance from both teams, their stand-off permeates a sense of nostalgic excitement for which team will come out on top.<\/p>\n

Premier league matches for this year have seen mixed results for Notwane, however their 3-2 win against Morupule Wanderers last Sunday has energised the team with a sense of pertinent focus which will most likely be translated into the FA Cup.<\/p>\n

TAFIC on the other hand finds itself burning strong off the energy it\u2019s new coach, Bakanuki Maseko, who demonstrated his ‘quick one-twos, possession football’ philosophy on Sunday which helped rescue a point against First Division North leaders, Nico United. Godknows Mutina’s strike saved the match for TAFIC in a 1-1 draw.<\/p>\n

This supercharged energy has sent fans into an anxious frenzy as they anticipate other major faceoffs from the FA Cup draw such as the Gilport Lions against Township Rollers and Security Systems, Mochudi Centre Chiefs ties.<\/p>\n

Lokgwabe will face Motaung Young Strikers for the right to play giants Gaborone United, while Mogoditshane Fighters and Skoon Boys tie will determine who meets Jwaneng Galaxy. The deciders are scheduled for March 26 and 27 respectively. The last 32 ties will be played in April, with dates yet to be confirmed.<\/p>\n
