Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Motlhabakgomo laid to rest<\/b><\/p>\n

One Motlhabakgomo, who went missing on November 15 and was later found dead, has been laid to rest.<\/p>\n

Multitudes of Bakwena, family and friends thronged Motlhabakgomo\u2019s residence at Lekgwapheng Ward in Molepolole December 2 to bid her farewell.<\/p>\n

Member of Parliament for Molepolole South, Mr Kabo Morwaeng said the circumstances under which the 19-year old was murdered could not be condoned.<\/p>\n

Mr Morwaeng said after Motlhabakgomo\u2019s disappearance, the community came together to help the family look for her but their hopes to find her alive were shattered when she was found dead.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, he said it was important that the family looked to God for comfort in such trying times.<\/p>\n

He applauded those who stood with the family throughout such a sad time, adding standing with one another encouraged the spirit of selflessness and togetherness.<\/p>\n

\u201cParents need to befriend their boy children and always talk to them about relationship issues and make them understand that when love ends, it is not the end of the world,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

The parent, Mr Raoshimane Boitumelo said they had to deal with double tragedy as Phenyo Jakoba who was recently murdered was also part of their family.<\/p>\n

Mr Boitumelo said they had been saddened by Motlhabakgomo\u2019s death since she was still young and had a bright future.<\/p>\n

Her friend, Ms Lepe Leburu said she met Motlhabakgomo at church and their friendship grew beyond church and became family.<\/p>\n

She said Motlhabakgomo was a beautiful soul and an ever smiling girl who was committed to church.<\/p>\n

Speaking on behalf of children Ms Tebagano David said words cannot express their pain and agony on the loss of their beloved daughter.<\/p>\n

She said as their aunt she cared for them after the death of their mother. Ms David added that they always knew Motlhabakgomo\u2019s whereabouts because she spent most of her time at church or her grandmother\u2019s house.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne loved God and spent more time at church where she grew up and became a Sunday school teacher,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Mr Mathata Bakwadi, a neighbour said he was friends with Motlhabakgomo\u2019s parents and continued to give the family support and care even after they passed on.<\/p>\n

Kgosi Moffat Bakwena thanked the community for the support they rendered to the Motlhabakgomo\u2019s family.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen someone is reported missing, it becomes an uphill battle as many challenges are met but those who came to assist did not give up until One was found,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Kgosi Bakwena implored the community to continue supporting each other and lending a helping hand and a shoulder to cry on because that was what made Batswana special.<\/p>\n
