Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>The Companies and Intellectual Property Authority (CIPA) in Botswana has officially announced the launch of the LTDF Open Call 2023. This initiative marks a significant stride in the support for the creative industry, coming off a hiatus since its last offering in 2015. The program\u2019s revival promises renewed opportunities for creatives to gain much-needed support and resources to further their projects and contribute to the industry\u2019s growth.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Rebirth of the LTDF Open Call<\/p>\n

The LTDF Open Call, opened on a Wednesday, is designed to fuel the creative sector\u2019s potential through a funding initiative that will be available for a two-month period, closing in February of the following year. CIPA Chairperson, Gideon Mmolawa, expressed regret over the long hiatus since the last open call. However, he emphasized the significant potential the initiative possesses to propel the creative sector towards greater success.<\/p>\n

Boosting the Creative Industry<\/p>\n

In its essence, the LTDF Open Call 2023 represents a valuable opportunity for creatives. By offering financial support and resources, it aims to stimulate innovation and creativity within Botswana\u2019s creative industry, thereby fostering its overall growth.<\/p>\n

Addressing Additional Challenges<\/p>\n

Apart from the creative sector, the call also highlighted the need for an integrated prison security solution. The aim is to tackle the challenge of contraband such as phones and drugs being smuggled into prisons. This requires the cooperation of all stakeholders, including the public, to assist in rehabilitating prisoners.<\/p>\n
