Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Zambezi Motors, a company that dates back to 1980s, had recently launched SHACMAN trucks, a Chinese brand known for its cost effective and robustness.<\/b><\/p>\n

Speaking during the launch which attracted local businessmen as well as government officials in Gaborone SHACMAN sales manager, Mr Wilson Zheng Jiahao said this was a leading international commercial vehicle solution provider, active in more than 100 countries in all continents.<\/p>\n

He said they had a cumulative delivery of over two millions trucks for thousands of customers around the world.<\/p>\n

Mr Zheng said since its inception in 1968, SHACMAN committed to producing trucks that were reliable and futuristic in all aspects, covering all four major dimensions including, the design of the whole vehicle, customized vehicles, spare parts, and after sales, depicted a well-constructed business matrix.<\/p>\n

He said their extension into Botswana was another milestone achieved as they expanded their horizon and customer-base<\/p>\n

However Zambezi Group of Companies, Accountant, Mr Buzwani Lesetedi said they were proud to bring to home soil SHACMAN trucks.<\/p>\n

He said from inception the management of Zambezi motors always had keen interests in addressing challenges faced by Botswana.<\/p>\n

Mr Lesetedi said their company found itself equally compelled to respond to development needs of the country, its mainstream economy, pandemic of unemployment and transfer of skills.<\/p>\n

He said Zambezi motors looked at these mentioned areas as a wing toward self-reliance and sustainability, citing that these goals would not be achieved without support of the citizens.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a company, we are happy that the people of Botswana, its industry, the government departments have supported us in line with the government\u2019s call of change of mindset, empowerment of youth as well as usage of local products,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Mr Lesetedi said they had workshops and indemnity center in Gaborone and Francistown to take care of the northern region.<\/p>\n

He said the management of Zambezi Motors have traversed the world with ears and eyes opened and each time discovered products they believed could be of help to the country.<\/p>\n

He said the launch was meant to share and showcase SHACMAN, a brand that they fought tirelessly to ensure that it reached Botswana.<\/p>\n

Mr Lesetedi said they had done a lot of research on the SHACMAN units which was perfect for the continent. He said the trucks included, long distance horses, water-tankers, refuse collectors, oil tankers, tippers and many other products depending on the customer needs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe found the product befitting, cost effective, robustness and with readiness to give the customer not only value for money, but also good return investment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
