Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Horse racing enthusiasts have been urged to come in droves this Easter Holidays to experience the best and glamorous horse racing event to be held at MA-SA Racing Park in Samedupi on Saturday.<\/b><\/p>\n

Dubbed MA-SA Easter Cup Horse racing, the race is organised by MA-SA Racing Park owner, Othata Masedi in collaboration with Haskins company, which offers building and hardware solutions for Botswana.<\/p>\n

Masedi revealed in an interview that preparations were at an advanced stage noting that they intended to present a world class race meet, which would create lasting memories for spectators as they would have an opportunity to watch and enjoy horses racing from all angles of the track.<\/p>\n

\u201cMA-SA Racing Park is the best place for horse racing as the place is well developed. The area is wide and without trees. The audience can see the horses starting the race until the finish point,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

He said the farm was not only for horse racing but it also provided recreational activities adding that the horse track matched the international standard.<\/p>\n

Masedi noted that the horse track had attracted a lot of attention from horse owners both locally and across the border.<\/p>\n

Currently, he said over 100 had been registered to participate in the race.<\/p>\n

He said they expected horses from Botswana, South Africa, Namibia and Lesotho to participate in different races and appreciated that locals had registered in large numbers as horses would come from Maun, Kokotsha, Good Hope, Gaborone, Letlhakeng, Motokwe, Draihoek, Charles Hill, Takatokwane and Lorolwane, among others.<\/p>\n

In addition, he said they had managed to process permits for horses coming from outside the borders and established stables.<\/p>\n

Already, horses had started arriving as of yesterday.<\/p>\n

He appealed to horse owners who still had interest to participate in the race to come forth as registration was still open until the big day.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Masedi said the race would also give Batswana an opportunity to enjoy the tourism hub, as the event would bring new and exciting avenues of entertainment to the tourism destination.<\/p>\n
