Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>The All African Independent Film Festival (AAIFF Africa) has been established to showcase the very best independent filmmakers from across Africa and to promote their cinematic talents on a global stage.<\/b><\/p>\n

The Inaugural All African Independent Film Festival will take place on the 6th, 7th, and 8th of September 2024 at the Century Cinema in Kigali, Rwanda.<\/p>\n

AAIFF Africa\u2019s 2024 Official Selection slate of films will compete in eight categories which include feature films, short films, animated creations and student works, crafted by innovative and highly creative independent filmmakers from across the entire African continent.<\/p>\n

President and Founder of AAIFF Africa, Scott Hillier, a multi award-winning Director and Screenwriter explained the purpose of AAIFF.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur mission is to embolden Africa\u2019s greatest creative story-tellers and further the careers and artistic paths of Africa\u2019s bold and visionary independent filmmakers. We are committed to AAIFF Africa playing a vital role on the World\u2019s film festival circuit,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The three-day festival will end with AAIFF 2024\u2019s Awards Ceremony, where fourteen awards will be presented to honor Africa\u2019s best independent filmmaking talent.<\/p>\n

Among the awards are Africa\u2019s Best Independent Film Director 2024 and the prestigious Africa\u2019s Best Independent Film, 2024.<\/p>\n

Throughout the festival, AAIFF Africa 2024 will host Professional Masterclasses as well as Question and Answer sessions with the directors in competition, which will provide the audience with a unique opportunity to engage directly with the filmmakers.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the festival will feature a vibrant live music showcase taking place during the festival\u2019s nightly After-Parties.<\/p>\n

Scott Hillier is an Australian Director \/ Cinematographer \/ Screenwriter \/Producer based in Paris.<\/p>\n

He has gained international recognition from his strong cinematography, editing, writing producing and directing portfolio and served as Director of Photography on the documentary \u2018Twin Towers\u2019 which won an Academy Award in 2003.<\/p>\n

He is also founder and President of The European Independent Film Festival.<\/p>\n
