Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Despite the difficult era of conflicts in Carbo Delgado, DRC, Ukraine, Gaza and other parts of the globe, dialogue will make it possible to achieve peace and stability.<\/b><\/p>\n

The remarks were made by the Dean of Envoys accredited to Botswana and Ambassador of Angola, Dr Beatriz Morais, during a State Banquet held at Gaborone International Convention Centre Wednesday evening, for Botswana Envoys and Foreign Envoys accredited to Botswana.<\/p>\n

Dr Morais said the event facilitated interaction and provided a unique and important opportunity to exchange experiences and various issues of common interest at regional, continental and global level hence said, efforts by President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi towards peace and stability in the world must be encouraged.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn behalf of the diplomatic corps, I would like to reiterate that we are fully committed to strengthening the relations, friendship and corporation between our countries and international organisations with government and people of Botswana,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Lemogang Kwape said the event was a testimony to strong bilateral relations with other nations.<\/p>\n

Dr Kwape said Botswana did not take the relationships and engagements for granted hence engaging in constant dialogue from time to time.<\/p>\n

He said through the banquet, Botswana Envoys and Foreign Envoys accredited to Botswana would interact to advance common interests and strengthen bilateral relations.<\/p>\n

The Dean of Botswana Envoys, Dr Athaliah Molokomme was hopeful that the ongoing Heads of Missions Conference would achieve its objectives.<\/p>\n

Dr Molokomme said envoys were deliberating on the ways and means of utilising global engagements to achieve strategic goals, including the attainment of high income status by 2036.<\/p>\n

She said the country\u2019s leadership had reaffirmed its commitment to multilateralism to global and regional integration, global peace and security, digital inclusion and deepening of friendship among nations.<\/p>\n

Dr Molokomme assured President Masisi that envoys considered it an honour to represent the country abroad and therefore, did so to the best of their abilities.<\/p>\n

She applauded foreign envoys based and non-resident envoys as it was always a joy to network with them.<\/p>\n

Dr Molokomme said ambassadors and high commissioners were committed to ensure that they were well resourced and empowered with information to represent the country effectively.<\/p>\n
