Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>The French Secretary of State for Development, Francophone and International Partners, Ms Chrysoula Zacharopoulou landed in Botswana yesterday on a two-day visit at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Lemogang Kwape.<\/b><\/p>\n

While in the country, Ms Zacharopoulou is expected to pay a courtesy call to President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi as well as hold bilateral talks with Ministers of Foreign Affairs, State President, Agriculture, Commutations, Knowledge and Technology, Youth, Gender, Sport and Culture as well as Environment and Tourism.<\/p>\n

Ms Zacharopoulou will also tour the Ramatlabama Artificial Insemination Centre as well as the Botswana Innovation Hub.<\/p>\n

Her working visit aims to strengthen the existing bilateral relations between Botswana and France and explore potential areas to enhance cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n

The two countries established diplomatic relations in 1967 and have since enjoyed strong bonds of friendship and fruitful cooperation in various fields, such as security, trade and investment, transport and communications, tourism, agriculture and education.<\/p>\n
