Africa-Press – Botswana. <\/strong><\/span>Letsile Tebogo returns to Nairobi, Kenya, next week for the Kip Keino Classic Continental Tour-Gold to be held at the Nyayo Stadium.<\/b><\/p>\n

Tebogo rose to stardom during the World Under-20 Championships held in Kenya in 2021 where he won the men\u2019s 100m and finished second in the 200m at the Moi International Sports Centre. Tebogo told that he competes in the 200m and preparations are going well. There were hopes amongst athletics fans in Nairobi that Tebogo would also run the 100m. Tebogo goes into the event after starting the season on fire, registering world leads in 400m (44.29), 300m (30.69), 200m (19.50) and 100m (9.88). \u201cI will say preparations are going well, even though there are some hurdles that we hit along the way,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Tebogo said he was disappointed that he would not be competing at the Moi International Sports Centre, which remains a special track in his heart. He added that Kenya holds some memories for him and he intends to do his best. Tebogo will not face off against Ferdinand Omanyala, who will be running the 100m.<\/p>\n
